Lake Conditions Surface temperature is 49.8 and 48.2 @ 20ft. Water Clarity Water visibility is at about 2' to 3'.

** IMPORTANT NOTE** There are currently no state fishing licenses available in the Lake Morena area so be sure you acquire one before you arrive. The State Licenses is required.

Trout Paradise cove was the most popular and productive. Joshua and Gerald Bertussi, El Cajon, brought in a string weighing 19 lbs 4 ozs with nightcrawlers and powerbait. Dave Wilson's only trout weighed in at 4 lbs 14 ozs near the Dam with a rapala. Chandler Self, Brawley, fooled a 3 lb 8 oz rainbow in Geezer cove with nightcrawlers.

Bass No Bass were reported this week.
Catfish A few anglers were surprised to find a catfish on their hook while trout fishing.
Blue Gill No Pan fish were reported this week.
Crappie The crappie are stirring, says Dave Wilson. He was in the shallows and pulled in two nice 1lbers.
Carp These fish are saving themselves for another time.
