Greetings from Lake Cuyamaca: Come?? join us on Saturday Sept 22and for "FISHING IN THE PINES" free kids derby!!?? Lots of fun, Prizes, and food. Great family fun!!! Yes we STOCKED !! 1,200 LBS from Mt. Lassen and 1.500LBS from Mojave D.F.G. Cooling water temps have provided some trout action using bait.?? Bass, Channel Catfish, Bullhead Catfish and the always popular Crappie providing action and filling out the stringers. Look for large mouth bass along the shore line and in the weeds. Channel Cats try mackerel by the Dam or Dike. Crappie are still looking for small tube jigs.?? Bullhead catfish are very aggressive??in seeking out?? your night crawler on the bottom.

!!!??TWILIGHT MOTOR BOATS ARE $ 15.00 last (3) HOURS OF THE DAY??!!!

Trout Bait:30-36 inch leader off the bottom inflated night crawler smeared with scent, Power Bait,?? salmon eggs.??Night Crawler 12inches below a bobber.?? (Pautzkes Krill gel or liquid Krill scent)
Best Trout Lures: Gold/yellow-orange Panther Martins, Yellow Rooster Tails, Orange Rapala. Use scent!?? (Krill gel works best)
Best Trout Spots: Lone Pine, Shore line by dam buoy line, Dike, Finger Jetty's
Notable:?? Joni Saudera, El Cajon, 14lbs 8oz Channel Catfish, Hogwild, Handicap Fishing Pier. Brian and Renee Pifer, La Mesa, (10 Trout) Largest 1lbs 8oz trout, Power Bait, Shore. Lots of trout.
Fly Fishing: Lots of surface action by the Trout, and Crappie, try Emergers, Nymphs, and Elk Hair Caddis, ???? This should produce something besides Crappie, which will take just about anything.??
Nature Walk: The guided walk will be conducted by Clint Powell October 6, 2007 at 1 P.M. .The trail is open for daily use. 3 1/2 miles around the lake.
Free Fishing Class Saturday at 10:AM:?? No fishing class on the 22and. Fishing in the Pines Kids Derby
Prognosis:!! ??With cooling water temps the trout bite has improved and will get better as temps?? cool. A stocking this week from Mt. Lassen will increase the inventory for the anglers, also the FISHING IN THE PINES KIDS DERBY Sept 22and. Look for a early morning bite for trout using bait or Rooster Tails (yellow or green).??Be sure to come up and catch some Crappie (any time) use small tube jigs or meal worms. Crappie are a sure thing.??Water surface temp 67-70 deg, Please feel free to ask our staff any questions you may have.
