Holiday Greetings from Lake Cuyamaca:??With a warm week in the weather predicated. The trout should also be warming up. It has been a later bite, so sleep in the fish are. Trout??are taking inflated night crawlers with scent and dough baits. Patient anglers are catching limits of mixed sized trout. Five Tagged trout good for a "Day on the Lake" gift certificate are waiting for you.
Lake Cuyamaca Junior Waterfowl Hunt will be held on February 2and Mail post card with Name, Age (12-15) Address, Phone Number and Hunting License number. To be entered in Drawing.

Trout Bait: 12-20 inch leader off the bottom inflated night crawler smeared with scent, Power Bait,??and Power Worms.?? (Pautzkes Krill gel or liquid Krill scent)????
Best Trout Lures: Gold Panther Martins, Kastmaster. Use scent (Krill gel works best)??
Best Trout Spots: Lone Pine, Shore line Chambers Park, Dike, Finger Jetty's
Notable: ??Tommy Burrus, (age 11) El Cajon, 2lbs Rainbow, Power bait, Lone Pine. Anthony Gentry, Vista, 1lbs 12oz Rainbow, Bait, Shore. Alex Uppenkamp, (age 6), San Diego, 1lbs Rainbow, Night crawler/ Krill gel, Chambers Park.
Fly Fishing: ?? With the addition of the German Browns,?? Matukas and Wooly Buggers will be a good choice. Worked very slow being taken on the fall.??
Nature Walk: The guided walk will be conducted by Clint Powell January 6, at 1 P.M. .The trail is open for daily use. 3 1/2 miles around the lake.
Free Fishing Class Saturday at 10:AM:?? Ranger Willard will teach tried and true trout tactics.
Prognosis:!! With the cold water temps the bite will be?? mid morning-afternoon. Fishing Inflated Night Crawlers with scent; Dough Baits with scent; and Salmon eggs should provide action for anglers with patience.?? Drifting tube jigs with scent should be irresistible. The?? Lake CuyamacaGreetings from Lake Cuyamaca: We STOCKED?? a load of Mojave?? D.F.G. finest rainbows last week. This added to the inventory has the lake full of trout. With the cold front and snow this weekend the bite has slowed. Trout??are taking inflated night crawlers. Patient anglers are catching limits of mixed sized trout.
