In the AM hours there has been wolf packs up on the bank chasing small bass and bluegill. There has also been a few bass coming in open water that are on very small silversides. Flukes, small swimbaits, top waters, etc. have been working for these fish. If this doesn’t work for you, try drop shotting in 20’ to 30’ just about anywhere in the lake. Only a handful of small bluegill were taken last week in areas such as Hidden Cove and the back of Kimbal and Barona. Catfish went unreported this week.

San Vicente ReservoirBass fishing was fair last week, the morning bite being the best. Look for schooling fish on the bank in toll road, aqueduct, and Barona arms of the lake. Flukes, poppers, frogs and small swimbaits all produced last week. Most of the schoolies have been in the 2lb. and 3lb. range.
