Early morning hours have the largies packed up and chasing baby bluegill and bass right on the bank, creating some exciting angling opportunities. Top waters, flukes, swimbaits, etc. all work for these fish. Later in the day these fish have hunkered down in the 30’ to 35’ and have been biting drop shotted plastics, as well as most finesse techniques. There’s still bluegill available in Hidden Cove, Kimball and Barona arms of the lake. Drop shooting mealworms has been the way to go for the panfish. Once again, Catfish went unreported to the concession last week.
