Murray Reservoir Fishing Report

Fishing is slowly but surely improving here at Lake Murray. Many of the bass that were positioned deeper have not started to move into shallower water to stage for Pre-spawn. Anglers that have been getting high fish counts have been concentrated on working the Tulles along the bank and have been quite successful. Drop-Shot with muring dawn and high visibility worms. Chatterbaits, ned-rigs, and swimbaits seem to be the way to go if you plan on doing so there are still smaller schools fo bass being found in deeper water by the buoy lines. Most have been caught using Rapala flat-jigs, blade-baits, drop-shot and spoons. Panfish have slowed a bit but on overcast days it can be quite good. Crappie have mainly been caught on crappie shiners or small jigs set up with a bubble or float. Bluegill are being caught daily and drop-shot with crickets has been the trick.

Crank baits and square bills have been effective as well, running...... Read More
