Greetings from Lake Cuyamaca:?? Mt. Lassen delivered 1,200 lbs of?? there finest trout last week adding to the inventory.?? Anglers this weekend have enjoyed limit style action catching trout using bait?? has been the recipe for a quick limit. Trolling is picking up with Rooster Tails and Panther Martins providing the most strikes. The Crappie are making a strong showing around the docks and shorelines. Bullhead catfish are very aggressive??in seeking out?? your night crawler on the bottom.??(??3) three?? "Tagged?? Alpers Trout" are still eluding anglers. Catching a tagged trout will reward the angler with Motor Boat Rental and 4 fishing permits for(1) one day!!!??

Trout Bait: 18-24 inch leader off the bottom inflated night crawler smeared with scent, Power Bait,?? salmon eggs.???? (Pautzkes Krill gel or liquid Krill scent)

Best Trout Lures: Gold Panther Martins and Rooster Tails. Use scent!?? (Krill gel works best)??

Best Trout Spots: Lone Pine, Chambers Park, Pumphouse Cove.

Nature Walk: The guided walk will be conducted by Clint Powell June3, 2007.The trail is open for daily use. 3 1/2 miles around the lake.

Free Fishing Class Saturday at 10:AM: ?? Ranger Willard?? will teach??tried and true trout techniques using?? bait, tube jigs and lures for trout.??

Prognosis:!! On the sunny days the catching of trout, crappie and bullheads will provide plenty of action for anglers of all ages. With the?? Greetings from Lake Cuyamaca: The weather has the trout confused, along with the anglers. Is this the end of May??? Snow on the ground???? The trout fishing has been a slow but steady bite, with bait producing better than hardware.?? !!! ALPERS TROUT!!! are back.
