Lake Conditions Surface temperature is 55.5 and 55.0 @ 20ft. Water visibility is at about 2' to 3'.
** IMPORTANT NOTE** There are currently no state fishing licenses available in the Lake Morena area so be sure you acquire one before you arrive. The State Licenses is required.
Trout 2000lbs of Lassen's finest rainbow have been delivered. Refresh your lines for some of these fish could be testing their limit. Speaking of limits we had two right off. Don Yeager of Spring Valley gathered 6 lbs 6 oz in his limit. Johnathan Derflinger from Campo managed 8 lbs 10 oz in his creel. The largest being 2 lbs 3 oz. He was using silver Kastmasters and nightcrawlers. Both men were shore fishing in Geezer cove. Watch for another plant before the Mayan Calendar expires.
Bass Nothing much new. No Bass reported this week
Catfish The catfish were found this week in Horseshoe cove. Thomas Pressley fooled a nice 3 lb 14 oz whisker. The bait of choice was mackerel or night crawlers.
Blue Gill A few of the pan fish were reported as the anglers were casting for trout.
Crappie The crappie bite has slowed up once again.
Carp These fish are saving themselves for another time.
