Greetings from Lake Cuyamaca: Mt?? Lassen will be stocking 2,000 lbs of trout again this week!! Water conditions remain very good, so the trout action has been non stop. Bait dunkers did better this week than the hardware chuckers due to windy conditions. Anglers are getting action on the shore lines all around the lake. The success for boaters remains steady with bait.??
!!! We now have???? 3 NEW SLEEPING CABINS?? for rent!!! ??**call for information.**
Trout Bait:24-30 inch leader off the bottom inflated night crawler smeared with scent, Power Bait,??and Power Worms.?? (Pautzkes Krill gel or liquid Krill scent)
Best Trout Lures: Gold Panther Martins, Rooster Tails, Rainbow Rapala. Use scent!?? (Krill gel works best)
Best Trout Spots: Lone Pine, Shore line Chambers Park, Dike, Finger Jetty's
Notable:?? Flea, Descanso, 3lbs Rainbow, power bait/ crawler combo, Tee Dock. Don Wallis, San Diego, 3lbs Rainbow, power bait, Lone Pine. Ernest Broom Sr., La Mesa, 2lbs 8oz Rainbow, Night Crawler, Kitchen Cove. Randy Keen, Riverside, 1lbs 8 oz Rainbow, power bait, Lone Pine.(Lots of limits.) Fly Fishing:?? With the cooling water temps Matukas and Wooly Buggers would be a good choice?? This should produce something besides Crappie, which will take just about anything.???? Nature Walk: The guided walk will be conducted by Clint Powell November 4th at 1 P.M. .The trail is open for daily use. 3 1/2 miles around the lake. ?????? Free Fishing Class Saturday at 10:AM:?? Ranger Willard will teach tried and true trout tactics, also cover Crappie and Catfish using tube jigs and bait. Prognosis:!! ??With the stocking this week and cool water temps, the trout action will continue producing limits. Using bait for a quick limit, or hardware for the bigger trout. This is the start of the Fall trout action. You don't want to miss out on this fun angling experience. Bring the family!!??Catfish and Crappie are still adding weight to the stringers. The Fall season leaves are appearing on the trees and plants, come up and see some of natures outstanding color arrangements. Please fell free to ask our staff any questions you may have.
