Greetings from Lake Cuyamaca: Mt?? Lassen will be stocking 2,000 lbs of trout again this week!! The cool weather has water?? temps below 60 deg. This has not put a chill in the appetite of the trout. Throwing hardware or dunking bait has been providing limit style action for anglers of all ages.

!!!??TWILIGHT MOTOR BOATS ARE $ 15.00 last (3) HOURS OF THE DAY??!!!??

Trout Bait:30-36 inch leader off the bottom inflated night crawler smeared with scent, Power Bait,??and Power Worms.?? (Pautzkes Krill gel or liquid Krill scent)

Best Trout Lures: Gold Panther Martins, Rooster Tails, Rainbow Rapala. Use scent!?? (Krill gel works best)??

Best Trout Spots: Lone Pine, Shore line Chambers Park, Dike, Finger Jetty's

Notable:?? Dominic, Julian, 3lbs Rainbow, power bait, secret spot. Clarence Bunch, La Mesa, 2lbs 8oz Rainbow, power bait, shore. Zach Wilson, El Cajon, 2lbs 8oz Rainbow, power bait, Chambers Park. Scott Jensen, Santee, 2lbs Rainbow, power bait, Lone Pine. (Lots of limits.)

Fly Fishing:?? With the cooling water temps Matukas and Wooly Buggers would be a good choice?? This should produce something besides Crappie, which will take just about anything.????

Nature Walk: The guided walk will be conducted by Clint Powell October 6, 2007 at 1 P.M. .The trail is open for daily use. 3 1/2 miles around the lake. ??

Free Fishing Class Saturday at 10:AM:?? Ranger Willard will teach tried and true trout tactics, also cover Crappie and Catfish using tube jigs and bait.

Prognosis:!! ??With the stocking this week and cool water temps, the trout action will continue producing limit style action. Trolling, casting lures from shore or bait dunking??will provide anglers with good trout action. This is the start of the Fall trout action. You don't want to miss out on this fun angling experience. Bring the family!!?? Water temp 56-59deg.Catfish and Crappie are still adding weight to the stringers. Please fell free to ask our staff any questions you may have.
