Greetings from Lake Cuyamaca. This has been a phenomenal week of fishing. Water is moving over from the East Lake and the trout are loving it. The catfish will soon be heading over to Pumphouse Cove as well. Spring has almost sprung. The Canada Geese are nesting and very serious about it. Good idea is to stay away from a nest that has a goose in it.

WE ARE NOW OPEN EVERY DAY AT 6 AM. CLOSING TIME VARIES ACCORDNING TO SUNSET

Best Bait: Power Bait, any color. nightcrawlers dipped in scent.

Best Spots: Pumphouse Cove, Lone Pine.

Notable: Douglas Brant of Riverside got a limit of Rainbows, largest was 3 1/2 pounds. He was using powerbait at Pumphouse Cove. Robert Andora was on Fletcher Island and caught a 4 1/2 pound trout using Powerbait. Kristopher Brown from Chula Vista took a 2 3/4 trout at the Foxhole using Bangtail Gold Spinner. Flea from Descanso limited out at the South Buoy Line using nightcrawlers. Many other limits were taken each day with varying sizes from one pound to 1 3/4 .

DFG and Jess Ranch delivered trout this week (2,800 pounds) so there is no shortage of beautiful Rainbow Trout out there.

Check on the availability of the lovely Lakeview Condos. The perfiect getaway. And you can bring your well behaved pet. Cooking is optional. The Lake Cuyamaca Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Good Food.

Free Fishing Class Saturdays at 10 AM. Meet Charlie or Jay at the Launch Ramp.

THE DECONTAMINATION WASH DOWN IS REQUIRED FOR ALL PRIVATE VESSELS BEFORE LAUNCH. A FEE IS CHARGED.
