Greetings from Lake Cuyamaca. This fishing continues to be excellent. Lots of limits coming out as well as big fish. We are still in the middle of the water transfer. Pumphouse cove is the popular spot. Still a while before the big bass are an item.
Best Bait: Power bait, any color. Nitecrawlers dipped in scent.
Best Spots: Pumphouse Cove- Lone Pine
Notable: Chris Lopez of Anaheim hooked a 5 1/2lb Rainbow at the South Buoy line. He was using yellow power bait.
Sheila & Craig of Temecula went home with 10 trout. The largest was 3 1/2 lbs. Rainbow power bait at the Handicap pier.
Bill Guffey from Santee got four trout, the largest was 4 lbs, using orange power bait at Lone Pine.
Larry Nakamura of San Diego got his limit with the largest @ 2lb 2oz. Chartreuse power bait @ Pumphouse cove.
Bill Knight of Lakeside and his buddy Al both limited out @ Pumphouse cove using the new Spring Green powerbait.
Jess Ranch will be delivering 1200 pounds of their beautiful Rainbow trout this week.
