Greetings from Lake Cuyamaca. Fishing is excellent all over the lake. Limits are being taken in just a couple of hours. The flowers are in bloom and the East lake looks like a field of mustard and mayo. Wildlife watching is at its peak.

WE ARE NOW OPEN EVERY DAY AT 6 AM. CLOSING TIME FOR SHORE FISHING IS 7:30 PM.

Best Trout Bait: Any color power bait and nightcrawlers.

Best spots: Pumphouse cove, Kitchen cove, and North Shore.

Notables: Jake Dvorchak, 9 years old from Jamul. Limit of trout on nightcrawlers at the North Shore. Dan Hollister and Jene Calloway from Lake Cuyamaca. 5 trout, 4 catfish. Largest trout 3lb10oz. Caught on worms at pumphouse cove. Calvin Priddy, Rialto. 3 1/2lb trout and 2 catfish on nightcrawlers at Kitchen Cove Jive and Sandy, San Diego. 10 trout (2 limits) and 50 crappie. Paul Larson and Eddie from Julian limited out on trout in 1 hour using chartreuse power bait at Pumphouse cove. Dave from San Diego caught a 9lb bass at the southend on Thursday.

Jess Ranch delivered 1200# of fish this week.

Greetings from Lake Cuyamaca. This fishing continues to be excellent. Lots of limits coming out as well as big fish. We are still in the middle of the water transfer. Greetings from Lake Cuyamaca. This has been a phenomenal week of fishing. Water is moving over from the East Lake and the trout are loving it. The catfish will soon be heading over to Pumphouse Cove as well. Spring has almost sprung. The Canada Geese are nesting and very serious about it.
