Greetings from Lake Cuyamaca. Fishing continues to be excellent all over the lake. DFG stocked this week. Mt. Lassen introduced us to their new Sierra Bow this week. The lake received 200 lbs of these tasty fish, all tagged. The mature bald eagle was seen at Lone Pine and out into the East Lake area this week. Quite a site walking around in the wild flowers. Wildlife is abundant all around the area and the wild flowers are blooming.

Check out our mid-week specials on the Lake view condos. $150/per night and you get a free boat rental on the day of your choice. The Lake Cuyamaca Restaurant has delicious specials every weekday.

WE ARE NOW OPEN EVERY DAY AT 6:00 AM. CLOSING TIME FOR SHORE FISHING IS 7:30 PM.

Best Trout Bait: Night crawlers and power bait.

Best Spots: Pump house Cove, Lone Pine, Fletcher Island.

Notables: On 4/26 Paul Chhoun of San Diego caught a 52", 30 lb, 12 oz Sturgeon at Lone Pine on night crawlers. Linsi Clain and friend of Borrego Springs caught 6 trout, weighing 6 1/2lbs with the largest 2-?? lbs. Larry LaBork caught a 3-?? lb trout on night crawlers at Fletcher Island. Mike Groff, Dan Hollister and Jene Calloway caught 15 trout, and 1 bass at Pump house cove using night crawlers, power bait and Gell Krill scent. Jamie C Baird, age 10, of Mira Mesa caught 5 trout, for a total weight of 6 lbs. The largest was a 2-?? lb Sierra Bow. He was using night crawlers and rainbow power bait, fishing at Pump house cove and the south end.

Free Fishing class every Saturday at 10:00 am. Meet Ranger Charlie or Ranger Jay at the launch ramp.

THE DECONTAMINATION WASH DOWN IS REQUIRED FOR ALL PRIVATE VESSELS BEFORE A LAUNCH. A FEE IS CHARGED.

Greetings from Lake Cuyamaca. This fishing continues to be excellent. Lots of limits coming out as well as big fish. We are still in the middle of the water transfer.
