  • Stocking: The lake was stocked with 1,000 pounds last week. The next stocking will be the week of August 15th. The lake has been stocked with 3,750 pounds of catfish so far this season. The catfish stocking schedule can be viewed HERE.
  • What's the catch?  The productive fishing holes for catfish this weekend were Hermit, Cloister, and Siesta Coves. Catfish were biting on shrimp, mackerel, and night crawlers. The bass bite has been busy at the t-dock and the campground shoreline especially around sunset. Bass were biting on black flake Senkos. Drop shot is a good rig to use in clear water. Reports of blue gill from most shallow coves in the lake. Fishermen reported catching 5-6 at a time. A piece of nightcrawler or meal worm usually encourages a bite. Don't forget to send us pics of your catch! You can tag us @lakejennings on social media or email them to ranger@lakejennings.org.
  • Conditions: The district is drawing water from the lake so expect lots of shoreline to fish from in the coming weeks. Please be mindful of changing shorelines as the lake levels drop. The surface temperature around the boat dock is 81.6 degrees. The sun is rising around 5:45 a.m. and setting about 8:00 p.m. For a complete weather report in Lakeside, click HERE.
  • Firepit Rentals: Can't commit to an entire weekend of camping? Rent one of our lakefront firepits on Saturday night, August 13th! Grab your friends, family, favorite peeps and gather around one of our firepits from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tell stories, roast s'mores, play games...slow down and enjoy the sunset. You can rent a firepit by calling (619) 390-1623 or reserve ONLINE
  • Please remember...Lake Jennings is a drinking water reservoir and no body contact is permitted. Do not enter the water at any time. Keep cool by soaking a bandana in water and draping it over your neck or forehead. Mist your clothing and wear light colors. Thank you for your cooperation!
  • Campground: The campground opens for long term reservations in September. It's never too early to book a campsite for 30 nights or more! If you would like more information about long term camping visit our website HERE.
  • Have you seen our updated horseshoe pits at the campground? The pits have been leveled and there's a new scoreboard! The area also includes a shaded picnic area with a barbeque. Horseshoe rentals are available at the campground kiosk.
