Trout Of course Geezer cove was still a hot spot along with areas around cabin cove. And just trolling trough the deeper middle near the buoy line was providing results. Green-sparkle Powerbait, Garlic powerbait, nightcrawlers, Rapalas-regular and small, Kastmasters were your best bet. Rich Echols limited with a total weight of 14lbs using green powerbait. Ben and Sam Gonzalez fooled 2 nice trout totaling 3lbs 12ozs for their first time. Scott Barkland, Jamul, caught a 3lb 14oz with powerbait. Lewis Bertussi caught only three but weighed in at 5lbs 8oz, 4lbs 8oz and 4lbs 6oz. Dwight Shelley, Lemon Grove, plucked a 4lb 6oz Rainbow with green powerbait.
Bass Bass have been turning up around cabin cove. Ken Facto was working around cabin cove pulling in 15 smallish bass with small rapalas before releasing them. Brian Scott, Campo, was in the same zip code catch and releasing 15. Brian Stewart from P.B. C&R-ed 5 bass with the largest a 2lb 8ozer on crank bait. Paul Ruehl was casting plastics when he tied into his 5lb 10oz near the dock.
Catfish The cats are on the prowl. Brandy Doolittle and Tanner Osborne who came all the way from Helena Mtn. to fool a few cats with powerbait worms and nightcrawlers.
Blue Gill No Pan fish were reported this week.
Crappie The crappie are stirring near cabin cove. Ones and two are showing up mostly around the cabin cove boulders.
