Thanksgiving??Greetings from Lake Cuyamaca: ALPERS TROUT have ARRIVED for your angling and feasting pleasure. 1500lbs of Rainbow's and 500lbs of German Browns all with the famous "BAD ATTITUDE" you expect from these Eastern Sierra?? trout.?? 5 Tagged trout good for a "Day on the Lake" gift certificate are waiting for you. Also Mojave D.F.G. hatchery came with 2,000lbs of trout on Friday. Combined with existing inventory the action is going to be "on the hook".

Trout Bait: 20-24 inch leader off the bottom inflated night crawler smeared with scent, Power Bait,??and Power Worms.?? (Pautzkes Krill gel or liquid Krill scent)

Best Trout Lures: Gold Panther Martins, Rooster Tails, Rapala (orange/ fire tiger)?? Use scent!???????? (Krill gel works best)

Best Trout Spots: Lone Pine, Shore line Chambers Park, Dike, Finger Jetty's

Notable:?? No fish over 2lbs. (Lots of 2hour limits)

Fly Fishing: ?? With the addition of the German Browns,?? Matukas and Wooly Buggers will be a good choice.

Nature Walk: The guided walk will be conducted by Clint Powell December 2, at 1 P.M. .The trail is open for daily use. 3 1/2 miles around the lake.

Free Fishing Class Saturday at 10:AM:?? Ranger Willard will teach tried and true trout tactics.

Prognosis:!! ??With the numbers of Trout in the water, it should be a wide open bite providing limit style action. Night Crawlers with scent; Dough Baits with scent; and eggs the choice for bait. Throwing Lures and Trolling with Rapala's,(orange and fire tiger), Rooster Tails, and Panther Martins should provide plenty of action. The Alpers trout are known for there fighting ability?? and wonderful taste. Enjoy this opportunity while it lasts. To be?? Spooled and Schooled ?????
