Greetings from Lake Cuyamaca:?? ALPERS TROUT arrived in time to provide anglers with a thankful holiday experience. Some landing?? the famous "BAD ATTITUDE" trout you expect from these Eastern Sierra??fish. Others catching limits of mixed sized trout. Bait produced more?? limits than hardware. Five Tagged trout good for a "Day on the Lake" gift certificate are waiting for you.

Trout Bait: 12-20 inch leader off the bottom inflated night crawler smeared with scent, Power Bait,??and Power Worms.?? (Pautzkes Krill gel or liquid Krill scent)??????
Best Trout Lures: Gold Panther Martins, Black and Brown Rooster Tails, Rapala (orange/ fire tiger)?? Use scent!???????? (Krill gel works best)??
Best Trout Spots: Lone Pine, Shore line Chambers Park, Dike, Finger Jetty's
Notable:??Timothy Lambert, San Diego, 3lbs 4oz Alpers, night crawler, Dike. John Daffron, Newport Beach, 3lbs 2oz Alpers, night crawler, Chambers Park. Steve Jones, Harbison Canyon, 3lbs Alpers, power bait, North FingerJetty.D J Evens, San Diego, 3lbs Rainbow, night crawler, Lone Pine. Dan Smith, San Diego, 3lbs Rainbow, power bait, Lone Pine. (Lots of 2hour limits)
Fly Fishing: ?? With the addition of the German Browns,?? Matukas and Wooly Buggers will be a good choice??.
Nature Walk: The guided walk will be conducted by Clint Powell December 2, at 1 P.M. .The trail is open for daily use. 3 1/2 miles around the lake.
Free Fishing Class Saturday at 10:AM:?? Ranger Willard will teach tried and true trout tactics.
Prognosis:!! Improving weather conditions the bite should continue strong with bait. Night Crawlers with scent; Dough Baits with scent; and Salmon eggs. Trolling the North Shoreline and Dike with Roster Tails and Rapala's should produce some Browns which are eluding the anglers. Drifting trout teasers with scent should be irresistible. The Alpers trout are known for there fighting ability?? and wonderful taste. Enjoy this opportunity while it lasts. ????
